Snoopy's HOME ICE GROUP LESSONS
Everyone who enjoys the sport of Ice Skating can benefit from at least one series of lessons whether it is your very first time or you are returning to the sport.
Snoopy's Home Ice at the Redwood Empire Ice Arena has always offered instruction in Ice skating to figure skaters, hockey players and recreational skaters who want to increase their confidence, enhance their skills and improve their enjoyment.

Group lessons are offered for:
- Pixies (ages 4 - 5)*
- Children (ages 6 - 11)
- Juniors (ages 12 & over)
- Hockey Skating (ages 6 & over) Helmet required
- Adults

All lessons are taught by the arena's Professional skating staff, and all programs offer a progression of skills, beginning with basics and moving on to the fundamental building blocks of skating.
Group lessons are scheduled regularly throughout the year and are offered in 8 week blocks. Pre-registration is required for most programs. Please refer to the arena calendar for specific dates and schedules.
Parents & Puppy Practice
This special group session is offered every Sunday morning and is conducted on a drop-in basis, no pre-registration is required. Children (ages 11 and under) and their parents enjoy a group lesson and a skating session exclusively for beginners. This is the only session that allows children to use chairs for assistance.
Coffee Club
A twice weekly adults only session includes a half hour group lesson, open skating for practice and a cup of coffee and donut from the Warm Puppy Café. No pre-registration required and drop-ins are always welcome.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are available to skaters of all skill levels but are usually taken after participation in the group lesson programs. Private instruction is available from the arena’s Professional coaching staff and arrangements can be made directly with the Professional staff member. Please contact the arena’s office manager for more information.
Tips for enjoying your visit to Snoopy's Home Ice
- Bring Your Camera, there are many great photo opportunities around the complex.
- Dress in Layers – It's Cool inside.
- Warm clothing and appropriate safety equipment (e.g. gloves, helmet, knee pads) will ensure you make the most of your time on the ice.
- Skate comfort is very important for enjoyment of your day. Ask a staff member if you have questions about proper fit and tying laces.
- Don't forget your socks, calf length or longer help to ensure a comfortable fit for your skates.
- Plan ahead – Skating sessions start and end at the published times visit our website or call ahead to confirm the schedule.
